Road Trip: Expect the Unexpected

CityofTenThousandBuddahas671x533The “Blogging On Wheels Summer Road Trip 2016” officially ended on Monday, August 1st, four days ago, but it has taken us this long to get settled back into our 5th Wheel back home.  Before we say “good-bye” to this summer’s road trip, we want to mention the
Buddhist Temple we happened upon 2 miles east of Ukiah, in Talmage, Mendocino, CA. Just walking into the “City of 10,000 Buddhas” elevates a person above a world that, in this particular election year and in this particular international climate, seems to be the antithesis of this place of peace. One can’t help but to admire “the quest for inherent wisdom” that is the goal of this religion. The history of the founder of this temple, Husuan Hua, is impressive.  His story and the history of the temple is told on the “City of Ten Thousand Buddhas” website at [metaslider id=1186]
